In the last week, the media students were made to attend a photography workshop. At first I had no idea what this workshop would consist and how is it going to help me in my subject but the extent to which it has proven me benefits, is hard to explain. The workshop taught us key concepts of working in photo shop and using different tools when editing our photographs. This includes maintaining the white balance, the saturation, masking pictures, exposure maintenance, sharpness and contrast, highlighting, effects to put on the skin and many other minor details. This is when we were working on editing pictures. In the second half of the photoshop workshop, we practiced using a professional camera with the help of a reflector, and other things like placing the light and capturing pictures with the help of a trigger.
