Mise en scene essentially refers to how all the visual elements are arranged before the camera and it includes costumes and make-up, props, and all the other natural and artificial details that characterize the spaces filmed.Below I will make a detailed mise en scene analysis for the cover of my magazine.
SETTING FOR MY PROP:
Setting creates both a sense of place and a mood and it may also reflect a character’s emotional state of mind.My setting for the outdoor shoot will be on school's rooftop where i'll be positioning a pink fur rug for the models. For the indoor shoot that was in school's artroom and auditorium I just brought some make up that included lipstick or mascara and etc.
Costumes used for the outdoor shoot were the mixture of black and white. As the background was pink so these colours were giving a great impact in the final pictures. In the outdoor shoots different costumes were being used to determine the literal meaning of the magazine.
FACIAL EXPRESSIONS & BODY LANGUAGE:
The expression on a person's face can even help determine if we trust or believe what the individual is saying. In my case, Models have to show a little smile on their faces showing that they are being really satisfied after doing make-up and in some pictures they are glowing and showing the gesture of happiness by trying the different makeup products on them and their friends. No serious expressions were shown in my pictures.
LIGHTNING:
Outdoor shoot was done in a broad sunlight and the indoor shoot was done with the help of auditorium's spotlights.Art room already have a good lightning so it was easy shooting their.
