DOUBLE SPREAD

This is how my double spread ended up and I really am in love with look.        The specifications:  I firstly took the initial step and divided my double page into margins and into two pages as well. I had to take help from a youtube video because some things were really vague in my mind.  These are the dimensions as well as the marginal set up.  Picture:  Usually people set up the title of the double spreads topic first but I decided to set up the picture first so that I adjust my heading accordingly. The picture I shortlisted amongst many also helped me choose the color combination for my title,  Yes! I know that the image has been sliding to the other side but thats only because many double spreads use this technique for a good style and design. The image remains on one side but part of it is on the other page too.  Title:  The title for my double spread was "Makeup on-point". I had to put more emphasis on the words 'on-po...

CONTENT PAGE

My content page, like my cover page, used vibrant colors in it and gave it a really beautiful, bright and attractive look. Many of the inspirations for content pages that I took from the internet, used a background color maybe because to look appropriately attractive for a cosmetic or a beauty magazine but my content page's background remained white. Here is a dissection:  The title:  The word "contents" was used as the title and was set up in a dark purplish shade which is one of the bright colors that could denote the youth, or the beauty. I also put a straight purple line underneath it to seperate it from the rest of the content.  Specifications:  The most  important thing to start my content page was with setting up borders, margins and columns. I did not divide my page into columns since I had another design in mind and that proved unequal dimensions for my content as well as my pictures so column  lines could not be used. However I did place mar...

WORKING ON CONTENT PAGE

FIRST    I had to add margins to my magazine. In my content page i mentioned "CONTENT" in purple colour with bold letters so that my audience are attracted towards it. Secondly, mostly the colour purple can be defined as a girlish colour so it went really well on it. I wrote these contents such as Nude makeup, Beauty, Maybelline, Glam look, Brushes & Perfect tips so that it gives a perfect meaning of my magazine to the audience.  I also placed these 4 pictures in the shape of boxes so that it attracts the audience and it is no more boring for them.I mentioned the numbers on pictures as well to make it easy for the reader to get through the solutions of their problems rather than wasting time on the page that they doesn't even require. And finally it turned out like this:

COVER PAGE

It took me a lot of time to come up with a good selected picture of my cover page and then design it accordingly since I had taken a huge number of photos in my shoots. At last I came up with this vibrant photo for my cover. This seemed good to me since it has alot of vibrant bright colors suitable for a makeup magazine.     Masthead:    The title of my magazine, the masthead, was put in a MINDSET font since that font was italic and stylish enough to suit the type of magazine I will be making. This is the font that I chose.      And this is how it turned out to be on my main mast head, DREAM UP.        I set it up in a yellow font because its among vibrant colors already so looks more prominent and eye catching.    Main cover line:    My main cover line was on "Makeup products you never knew about". I used a True Crimes font for it and made it bolder with the color black and a yellow background, I preferre...
